As all of you, VU fellows, I´m shocked. This is something I have been waiting for 25 years.
I saw this yesterday only and have been thinkimng on it since that. I have approached some of the VU gurus, and no one of them have a clue about that ... but ordered it just in case is real. So I did myself few minutes ago.

As someone wise said in a post we can claim all together if this tunrs to be fake.

I would say (probably Is more a "wish") that this is real stuff and that we will see more coming soon - thus why is that unexpensive. If it is real he should have access to the tapes and should relaase more.
I feel happy. See how we all feel in a week time.

Sister Ray w/Cale: I have been dreaming to have a full version for decades. Now with this possibility i´m kind of nervous. Would it be as increadible as I expect??

Someone said: a first batch of 5 has been sold. Anybody here has receive it?
help me to understand something: when I bought mine, it was on Feb 9th. As a other batchs have been sold before, why nobody receive it? Another point, it says he is away till Feb 17th, but how can be re-run a batch of 10 during his absence? :) I still hope this is not a fake, but am more and more doubtfull..

As long as he has access to the internet where ever he is, he can run batch after batch, while he may not have access to the lps themselves. I wouldn't take 100 lps on holiday.

Yeah, I had to buy one. I figured the pain of not having it if turns out to be real is worse than the pain of being ripped off a little $$$. I figure I'll jump on with the velvet board army on ebay and paypal if it is not what is listed. I am praying it is real

Wow, this could be amazing.
I can't afford to buy one, but I'm now anxiously anticipating the news from those who bought it. It is gonna be hard to wait this whole week.

I don't know why you think Ebay will care about this being a fake. Who is going to convince them that instead of a bootleg from 1967, it's actually a bootleg from 1968 or 69.

Personally (and I didn't buy one, but I can understand why people did) I think the tape was stolen by an insider from a work tape of an official release, perhaps the Bootleg Tapes Vol. 2. Knowing that word would spread quickly, and that the real deal would be coming out, he printed these up (seems like the same kind of thing as those Unripened bootlegs) and put the price low enough so that hardcore's wouldn't think twice about spending the money, but high enough to make the venture worthwhile.

Bootleg Series vol 2.....the complete Gymnasium show.....now THAT is something to dream about! Who knows, that might be right?

A full version of Sister Ray with Cale.....those two tantalizing snippets on Twisted Stars indicate that, even if it is the first time played, it must be pretty exciting! Just as awful a tease as having that Sister Ray from April '68 cut off.....

While we're wishing, I wonder if Jamie Klimek will ever relent and let some more of his Cleveland tapes go..... It's just too sad to think about all the tapes that were made of this amazing music, buried by their owners, never to be heard - like the Providence show mentioned earlier.....

To citizensmurf:

It works, if we all send complaint. We buy something and receive something else. That works and I already experienced that in the past. Then Ebay get complaint to paypal. Paypal would investigate and much likely send maney back. But again, the more we are, the better is. Welll let's keep optimistic anyway!!

Sounds plausible, and I feel somewhat guilty supporting that kind of behavior. But all it would have taken for me NOT to buy it would have been a message from the record company stating that an official release is on the way. If we're kept in the dark, what's a thirsty fan to do? I guess we'll all be buying the official version anyway if and when, but who knows about the several thousand that will be downloading it from Dime soon.
