Upsetter - I agree with you, and it seems as if MOST of the show is available from various sources. But the whole show doesn't seem to be out there. See below:
December 12-14, 1968 ? The Boston Tea Party, Boston, Massachusetts
With: MC5.
December 12
Tape: aud, 85 mins, B, recorded by "The Professor".
Sources: The Legendaly Guitar Amp Tape 2CD (2, 5), Sweet Sister Ray 2LP & 2CD (10), Afterhours #31 (1, 2, 7), Afterhours #32 (4, 5), Afterhours #33 (10, 11).
1. Heroin
2. Move Right In
3. Waiting For The Man (not avaliable?)
4. I'm Set Free
5. Foggy Notion
6. Beginning To See The Light (not avaliable?)
7. Candy Says
8. White Light/White Heat (not avaliable?)
9. Jesus (not avaliable?)
10. Sister Ray (25'47)
11. Pale Blue Eyes
Legend says that all the Boston Tea Party tapes (with the exception of the 'guitar amp tape') were recorded by a guy known as "The Professor", who smuggled a reel-reel tape deck into the Tea Party underneath his poncho. Some of his reels were transferred to cassette by Phil Milstein, and these are the tapes now in circulation. Apparently, the "Professor" still has other, unreleased, shows from June and August '69 (+ others?), but these are still on reel-reel tapes, and may be lost now.
