Okay, scratch that. Just listened to it. Not country, and not really funny, either.

Today I acquired a live version of I'm Sticking With You by The Unicorns, a great band who are now unfortunately 'deceased'/'kidnapped'/split up.

On the live record 'Nuggets', Iggy Pop segues from The Stooge's 'No Fun' into 'Waiting for the Man'

hey obscure, can you please upload that unicorns song? (i agree with you, a great band indeed, "who will cut our hair when we're gone" or how was it..)

and..never trust the unicorns. they're probably lying about splitting up too. or producing a rap record.

Off the top of my head...

The Feelies released their studio version of What Goes On on their Only Life album. The Stooges covered IWFTM during their 1972/3 practice sessions, and an Iggy solo version can be found on his semi-legal Nuggets album. Phish covered the entire Loaded album live, and then featured several songs from it in their show thereafter. Detriot covered R&R in the early 70's. Moe Tucker has recorded Pale Blue Eyes (with Lou), I'm Sticking With You (with Jonathan Richmond), and Afterhours. She and Sterling also used to play IWFTM live in the early 90's. Tom Tom Club did Femme Fatale (with Lou). U2 once covered Sweet Jane live with Maria McCee (in 1987, I think). R.E.M. have also occasionally covered Sweet Jane live. And of course, there's Mott the Hoople's cover of Sweet Jane on All the Young Dudes (produced by Bowie [with help from Ronson, most likely] at about the same time as Transformer). Mick Ronson covered WL/WH on his second solo album (using the Spiders backing track from Bowie's Pin-Ups sessions). Mirrors (Jamie Klimek's VU-inspired band after he recorded the La Cave shows) recorded Guess That I'm Falling in Love (as Hands in My Pocket). Another 70's Cleveland band, Rocket From the Tombs, recorded Foggy Notion, and when they became Pere Ubu they played Heroin live. Speaking of Heroin, Billy Idol murdered that song on his Cyberpunk album and he even released multiple remixes on singles. Gary Valentine (ex-Blondie) also recorded Heroin.

Unfortunately it looks like the Unicorns split is permanent, although there is new music to come from the individual members. and speaking of the Unicorns, here's that I'm Sticking With You live cover (apologies for the delay). Btw, piupiu, you don't happen to know Lala do you? if you don't, don't worry, it's just a connection between the names

I'm Sticking With You - The Unicorns (live) *mp4 unfortunately, sorry, its how I receieved it

and just because it's so good, here's a cover of Beginning To See The Light by Factrix

Beginning To See The Light - Factrix *mp3, hurrah!
