One thing that didn't understand is why is there only this one epay seller from ireland and no one else in the hole web who sells this lp?

Tis strange, a seller from Ireland with a German page (!?) He put up the first 10 copies and then another batch of 10. So theres another 80 for sale somewhere else if thats all he's selling. On the other hand it could say 100 copies only and be much more, those cheeky bootleggers. Strange producing a boot LP in 2008, perhaps it will be like the 'Unripened' boot which appeared in LP & CD form.

they've sold 3 batches of ten so far - 30 at ?21 each = ?630, nearly $1300!
I doubt it's really a limited ed of 100, unless they're numbered.

The epay page from this seller is not german! Schnitstelle who give us the epay link was on the german epay site.I think he just use the link "items from eBay international sellers"

Wow. I go away for a couple of days and look what happens. I guess the rumours were right then. Thanks for the alert Schnitstelle.

LIke many of you I have ordered my copy but need to replace my turntable before I can hear it. Can't wait to find out how good it really is - and where it came from.

The inclusion of "I'm Not A Young Man Anymore" suggests that this is not a fake. That and the number available. Anecdotal evidence from you guys also suggests that it's authentic.

I'm looking forward to the Warhol show currently at the MM coming to London as well. Thanks Warlock. Whatever happened to the c/o The Velvet Underground exhibition. I thought that was supposed to be coming to London at the end of last year?

I read it as 100 on green vinyl, fully expecting black or other coloured vinyls and a CD to turn up sooner or later. But just like us all I can't wait to get my hands on it, so I ordered one! And my turntable works (I hope).

I thought about buying it....it does seem like such a coincidence that the Gymnasium show would show up on bootleg just now.... It's hard to believe, though. Why this one guy in Ireland with this batch of records? I can understand booting it on vinyl (for the "collector value" since anyone can make a CD), but why is the price so low? He could post them for 50 pounds each or more, and still sell all; maybe he doesn't know the importance of what he has. And though he has a good feedback record, his other items aren't Velvet-related at all. And his brief, almost-literate description doesn't inspire any confidence.... "am a way till 17th of Feb", yet I see he relisted the record in another batch of 10 today....has he replied to anyone's emails?
My feeling is, if it is real, it'll be all over the web shortly, so I decided not to spend now. Perhaps, like other rare Velvets, the full show will come out a few songs at a time.....

You know what, I had many of the same thoughts. On this one, I'm taking the same approach I did when buying a dvd which promised unseen footage from the Dom - I expected to be disappointed, but hoped not - as it turned out it was the usual Mekas Delmonicos Hotel footage. Here I expect a con, but I'm hoping for the Holy Grail. If it is a scam that ?21 price tag is quite clever. I'd probably do as you are doing, if it had a price of ?50.
