The cover of 'Sweet Jane' by the Cowboy Junkies off 'The Trinity Sessions' is very, very nice.

For theirs second set on Halloween 1998 Phish did cover versions of the entire "Loaded" album. It was at the Thomas Mack Center in Las Vegas. I have come across it listed several times but have not found any recordings of it yet.

I've seen some listings that Phis covered the entire "Loaded" album during their second set at Thomas Mack Arena in Las Vegas on October 31, 1998 - but I haven't been able to locate any recordings of it. I don't know that anyone else has ever covered someone else's entire album at one time like that before. I'm not a big Phish fan, but it would be interesting to hear it!!!

they used to do it every year as a "halloween costume"
other years they did beatles white album , the who's quadrophenia,
pink floyd's dark side of the moon and talking heads remain in light album.

I'll see if I can find the disc I have of this.I know I have it somewhere.
I also had a copy of the flier that explained why they chose loaded.
I know they covered sweet jane often and in the early days of the band they used to do lonesome cowboy bill alot.

I wasn't big on it.If i remember there were one or two I found curious to listen to once or twice.Others bored the shit out of me.

Not a phish fan , but I have a couple of friends that are really into them.
i know the halloween albums have all been released offically, if you are looking to get it that way :

does anyone know the name of the guy who covers "I Heard Her Call My Name" in a sedate C+W style, singing solo along with a (steel?) guitar? It's a real hoot - he sings the entire song dead-pan and it has to be heard to be appreciated (imagine "....and then my mind split open....." sung in a western twang!). I got it tacked (uncredited) on to the end of a trade, and I've never been able to find out who it is.

Ergo Phizmiz & his Orchestra have recorded a cover of the entire "White Light/White Heat" album using funny/unexpected instruments and arrangements. I wonder if that's where your mystery track comes from. I keep meaning to check this out but haven't yet. You can download the whole thing for free from his site:
