I hadn't heard of this one:

7. Bringing The Streets To Life

Is it a CD or LP? Which show is it from?

No mention of the Stockholm 14/5/74 show? Certainly among the best quality wise.

Re Chicago 78 - there's not much to choose quality-wise between Chicago 78 and the Old Waldorf San Fransisco 78 show.

Also I love those June 1980 Bottom Line shows where Lou is in such a good mood - offering himself as a presidential candidate with the band as his cabinet.....

If you like the Blue Mask you will like Legendary Hearts.
That is my favorite period of solo Lou.

I'd not seen any of the June 1980 recordings in anything other than cassette tape format. Do you know which show/set is on it?

As for teh VU bootleg series, from memory the remainder of the shows that Levenson planned to put out, apart from the Quine tapes, have been bootlegged.

Somewhere in the depths of this site a figure of eleven shows in the Bootleg series is mentioned.

The best - the Matrix Master Tapes - are mentioned on another thread as 'The Matrix' - and have only been circulated among a small group of fans and as samples (excerpts of songs) only. [insert smiley here] Second or third generation copies of some of the Matrix Master Tapes have been officially released on 1969 Live. (The owner of the tapes is asking too much, so they'll go to his grave with him is my guess).

The same thing hapened on the Australian Raven box set, where some tracks of bootleg origin were officially released.

So there you have it. Current score:
VU Bootleg Series with previously bootlegged music in it: 0
VU official releases with previously bootlegged music: 2
Forthcoming Bootleg series issues in pipeline: 0

Go figure.
