If one was in London and it's 1976, perhaps someone could look up the magnificent Sex Pistols bio 'England's Dreaming' by Jon Savage which has sections devoted to London fashion circa this era. In case you are wondering why it has these references, the book is also about Vivienne Westwood and Malcolm McLaren's shop and side-references the other fashionable stores at the time.

There is one I can't recall the name of but it had retro clothes and Don Letts (ex-BAD & filmmaker) was one of their assistants at this time.

Alright, im so happy these two tracks came out. Thank you so much Rosie Lee. You may be tired of hearing this, but these tracks mean soo much to me, most likely to others as well. You rock!!!!!

Another Kings Road boutique from around that time that trendy young things used to want to try to steal things from was Boy.

And there was also a place up the the end of Oxford Street called Marbles (close to Marble Arch) which had lots of stalls in.

Kensington Market, on Kensington High Street, was similar.

And let's not forget Portobello Road street market.
