I doubt any of those news reporters knows who she is.

Are there any socialist countries left? (I'm sure most Americans would consider all European countries 'socialist' but that's another story altogether... Putting aside for the moment the difference between 'socialist' and 'social-democrat').

Hey, what's wrong with snogging a guy? Not that I'd really look forward to digging into Abdullah or any bearded transvestite in general... (no slur on transvestites, I think they're great, playing with identity and gender).
But seriously now, I think it's somewhat sad to see one of our heroes be(com)ing a cranky old bag (political position irrelevant, I'd be equally sad if she were extreme left-wing).

Thanks to all those for the US politics lesson.
I love Moe too and although sad to see her hanging around with these dicks I suppose we shouldn't be too surprised by this. Moe was always the 'straightest' and most conservative member of the VU. She didn't drink or take drugs and went to church on Sundays (even on tour). She also didn't like the swear words and refused to type them out when transcribing Warhols papers. I suppose every band needs a member whos never quite part of the gang and different (aka Ringo) it helps to keep many bands together as they're an important grounding element.

Proof positive that Moe Tucker, as I've always contended, is the coolest human alive.

Don't get me wrong, I love Moe, have met her and her kids and she is one of the most down to earth people I have ever met; love her VU and solo work; but I think her politics suck. IMHO
