I think this 14 mn take of "waiting for the man" is Lou's chating of the Matrix sampler followed by the version of the Quine's tapes. with better sound of course

I'm pretty sure the version of IWFTM on the sampler is a different performance (of the same slow arrangement) than the one heard on Quine. But maybe that second version of the song (which oddly doesn't have a timing) could be the Quine version?

Hmm - I saw that too, it looks like a default cross-listing where something is on Amazon.com, it gets listed as an "import" on the regional Amazon sites

Anyone else find it odd that the US listing is for Polydor and the import on UK is Universal? I sure wish they'd put out the official statement. I'm starting to worry it's not happening. This would be the greatest VU release since, I don't even know. Hell, since the original release of the 3rd album probably.

UMG seem to normally announce these things in Oct. Looking at the velvetunderground.com site, the last one was announced 1st Oct, the one before on 20th Oct. No idea whether these website dates reflect the official full press release. I reckon they will at least wait until the artwork is ready.

Strange that all the non-US Amazon sites are listing it as an import.

The UK import listing is ?56 - which is a lot of money for a small box of 4 CDs. Holding out for a domestic release

Looks OK. I'm glad they have gone for something like that and not a fake 60's design feel.
