Hey, Lonesome Cowboy Bill is great song!
I really like to listen to it while i am riding train home!
But the song that really annoys me is That's The Story Of My Life

Just to note all the songs mentioned above like Story of my life and Pale blue eyes are real fun live
I always trouble with the studio version of New Age while I really like it at Max's...
So studio versus live: wich one do you prefer eh?
SWEET BOONIE BROWN/IT'S JUST TOO MUCH IS PURE ROCK AND ROLL MAGIC!!!!!

Totally. That seamless segue between the two songs where the band just doesn't miss a trick, even though you just know it's something Lou probably decided he was going to do right there on the spot. And those "I've been lovin' Mary Lou for too long, doo doo doo-doo doo doo doo doo" bits... magic.

"Temptation Inside Your Heart" - The line "electricity comes from other planets" positively makes me cringe, and I cannot help but think that Sterling and John felt the same. That little "whooo" after Lou finishes the line makes me feel as though they were just taking the piss. As if to say "lame line, Lou!"

"Coney Island Steeplechase" - To be perfectly honest, I cannot even remember this one.

Does "Velvets Nursery Rhyme" count?

But Ferryboat Bill has one of Reed's great throwaway lyrics. 'Ferryboat Bill won't you please come home? Your wife has married a midget's son. And that's the short and long of it...'
Right up there with Andy's Chest and Coney Island Steeplechase. I love it.

You're obsessing over 3rd rate audience tapes and you haven't even got 1969 Live yet? That doesn't make sense.
IMO it doesn't really hold togther well as an album, but some of the performances are amazing!
