Re the End Cole Ave tracks - do Jesus and Story Of My Life have the same digital glitches as on the First Night boot?
The digital glitches on the "First Night" bootleg 2CD must have crept in at the mastering stage. Prior to that release, a 90 cassette tape called "1969 again" circulated - it had a selection of (then) unreleased songs from the "End Cole Ave" shows (including the 4 which are now on the "Dispatches" set) and had no "glitches".
In a similar vein, there exists a 90 min tape of after-show "jamming" - this tape was truncated to form the "Blue Velvet Jam" segments on the "End Cole Ave" 2CD set. I doubt very much whether ANY VU members actually appear on the "jamming" tape. There are certainly no vocals and the music is mostly 12 bar blues jams.....

I've just checked out and there is no glitch on the "Dispatches" versions.
Aha, now that IS good news. Now it's finally possible to compile a nice-sounding "Complete Cole Avenue" set.

"ocean" seems to be a test for the musician in the studio for Lou's first L.P. ...
Maybe I'm wrong but that's the feeling I had while listening it for the first time.
Anyway, it's a wonderful version and the rest is quite amazing too (specially "sweet Jane
& the 2 "sweet Bonnie Brown")
As far as i'm concerned, it's a great set
More Alternate Quine's Tapes!

Does anyone know the lyrics to "I'll Keep It with Mine"? It sounds to me like it keeps saying "I'll get along fine."

Here you go:

You will search, babe,
At any cost.
But how long, babe,
Can you search for what's not lost?
Ev'rybody will help you,
Some people are very kind.
But if I can save you any time,
Come on, give it to me,
I'll keep it with mine.
I can't help it
If you might think I'm odd,
If I say I'm not loving you for what you are
But for what you're not.
Everybody will help you
Discover what you set out to find.
But if I can save you any time,
Come on, give it to me,
I'll keep it with mine.
The train leaves
At half past ten,
But it'll be back tomorrow,
Same time again.
The conductor he's weary,
He's still stuck on the line.
But if I can save you any time,
Come on, give it to me,
I'll keep it with mine.

Ok, I was confused because on the torrent Get it on Time is mislabeled as I'll Keep it with Mine and both of those phrases kind of sound the same. I didn't realize that Bob Dylan wrote I'll Keep it with Mine, but I guess I could have figured that out pretty easily by looking it up on the internet, so sorry for the stupid question.

Are there going to be any more Unreleased bootlegs that appear?
Did Scorpio say this is it? It wasn't much for 3 CDs, and you can get the Gym tracks anywhere on the web free.
Its nice to hear any VU Sweet Jane or Lisa Says, because they kick the shit out of the Lou Reed versions, but the vocals faded in and out which really sucked.
VU toured for what, 2-3 years? They only have 1 fucking soundboard recording and a pile of hiss that any Non-VU fanatatic would never have the patience to listen to.
So far I think that December 10th BTP show is the most underrated bootleg.
