While we're talking about other groups singing Velvets-like songs, how many Dream Syndicate songs, especially from their first album Days of Wine And Roses are "Velvety"? I know from their bio's they were BIG Velvets devotees. "When You Smile" was derived from a line in "Sweet Jane". Would love hear a Velvets version of "Halloween" But, alas.....
