Moe loves Bo Diddley. One of her main musical heroes.

Indeed, there's an absolutely awesome live version (circa 1992?) of the song 'Bo Diddley' performed by Moe, with backing from Lou and Sterl, on the 'Re-Vu' set. Amazing stuff.

Other influences Lou has spoken about are Bobby Marchan, Hank Ballard and the Midnighters (he used to regularly cover their "Sexy Ways" and "Work With Me Annie"), any early do-wop material, Chuck Berry. In Jan 1979, Lou also appeared as "guest DJ" on WPIX NY, and spent 2 or 3 hours playing his favourite records - from memory there were a few Bowie songs, some Al Green and others which escape me. He did the same on Australian Radio JJ in late 1977 and played much soul music....

still on influences - in 1966 Lou was namechecking Phil Spector, Little Richard, Bo Diddley, The Jesters, Diablos, Coney Island Kids, Elica and the Rockaways, Johnny Ace, The Excellents, Martha and the Vandellas, Brian Wilson, and Phil Spector again....(the best record ever made: "You've Lost That Lovin' Feeling")
