Slight update. The Vinyl trailer is at 30fps but it repeats a frame every 4 frames. That is what happens if you save PAL video as NTSC. However, Chelsea Girls is at 24fps and looks like a real hi-def transfer. I wish the VU film had a trailer.

Scratch that. It would be every 5 frames if from 25fps. So every 4 frames indicates it's from 24fps which is good. But sloppy it has the repeated frames. Chelsea Girls does not. Also, Vinyl looks better than on the Rare DVD.

I rented the VU film. Looks great. Definitely a new hi-res transfer. The couple apps I have used to download videos didn't work with this and that's the extent of my knowledge with that.

It’s worth mentioning that Chelsea Girls is several minutes longer at the start compared to the Raro version, so more Nico (there’s no titles between the various segments either). Symphony of Sound (I’m going to use that title, even though it’s not the title of the movie) is super crisp and clear and doesn’t edit out the join between the reels like the Raro version did. Very, very cool. Hopefully they release more Warhol films for streaming.

Does it have the exit music?

It does indeed! It’s no better audio quality than we’ve already had, but it is there.

Sadly, this service seems to have been discontinued. I went to the link to see if anything had been added, and it said:

That seems a real shame. I was looking forward to Hedy showing up and maybe some other unseen stuff.

Did anyone manage to snag Chelsea Girls or Symphony of Sound while they were up?

Yes I backed both up. Only those two though.
