It's great that Ferges has been so willing to keep this site running, and even update it to its own domain, despite no longer personally posting to it. The one area that is a mite deficient is "publicity" regarding site news, for instance outages, restorations following outages, and domain changes.

This shortcoming seems a small cost if it's the price we must pay for all the effort that is put in on our behalf, but if there's a way we could improve publicity -- perhaps by some other member being given the reins of that department (if, for instance, it's something Ferges especially hates to do) -- it'd make the site that much better and more useful.

I help with the Johnny Thunders site in that exact way. It's someone else's domain and creation, but I help w/ daily (well...more like bi-weekly) maintenance and e-newsletters.

After posting my comment last night I found (quite by coincidence) a note Ferges posted in this very same thread, in response to an inquiry similar to Simon's:
ferges wrote:Yes, this is the same site. I sent mail to users through the forum but it seems not everybody gets the message.
I hadn't realized that he had indeed tried to notify members of the domain change, and I appreciate the attempt. But perhaps he'd prefer to hand off such duties to one of the members.

All those not volunteering, take two steps back. :P
