I have a printing block that was issued by Verve to advertise the first album. The tagline is, "So far underground you get the bends" or something similar. Of course it's all backwards because it was used in old fashioned printing presses. Size is about 5 x 10 inches. Any idea of the worth?

Probably a lot mate - you could make a fortune from printing posters!

is this the JUNE sampler you are talking about with the girl on it??
velvetfan wrote:Well, I did something I swore I'd never do; I sniped a VU item on eBay. It is the MGM & Verve 1967 Sampler LP - The Velvet Underground. I have NEVER seen this on sale anywhere, not eBay either in the last 10 years at least. The seller happened to have his email address in the body of the ad (an eBay no no) but I made an offer quite a bit above the GBP 2.99 start price and he went for it, and it is on it's way. It is a vital missing piece from my collection, and I know the Music Factory promos went sky high, so I think I got a deal, and a good bit cheaper than auction would have brought, in effect outpricing me. Oh well, I feel a bit guilty, but when it arrives, I think the guilt will fade. :)

they messed that up and the third lp b side with the first song TWICE..the same song!! ..just found that and listened to it today..that so funny..how can you miss that as an soundenginier????

What I find most amazing is that it's the only French 45, and they managed to mess it up. It's definitely a nice single to have up on your wall, but you can buy a lot of great music for $200.

Can somebody explain to me why this bootleg is in a bidding war and currently is at $388.00USD?! I have this and have seen copies sell for between $20 to $50 over the last few years. Is it autographed by Warhol or something? Anybody?
