[quote="lurid"]hey Rod, he beat me as well! I gave up at about $55.

That LP has been on ebay before, but only 1 time so far as I remember.

Do you have the 1975 UK Polydor "Not For Sale" sampler - the one with the "stand up" sleeve so that it could be displayed on record shop counters? I've only ever seen 2 copies of that one (I bought them both and traded 1 of them away). That LP has "Run Run Run" edited so that it runs straight into "Beginning To See The Light"

Well, I stand corrected again. As much time as I spend on Olivers site, you would think I could keep things straight. In LP compilations, I am missing only GIGANTES DEL POP VOL. 5. In cd compilations, I am only missing THE VELVET UNDERGROUND - MILLENIUM EDITION
Universal 549 318-2(18), Germany, 2001(blue cover).
In Various, I am missing the above mentioned 1968 MGM UK sampler, and a couple others, including the 1975 Polydor sampler you mention. With such a vast body of collectibles, mistakes are inevitable, even for a VU fanatic like me. Ps, a scan or photo of that lp would be nice, especially since no image is on Olivers site.

Hi Rob,

This one ? Image

I´ll have a look for you for it overhere in Spain. It shows up from time to time and it is cheap.

Thank would be so cool! I can galdly pay for cost, and shipping-plus for your trouble. You have given me an idea; a "wants or needs" thread to hunt down some
of my most desired missing items! :D :D

MGM 2315 258, Spain
Spanish edition is censored, without Waiting For The Man, Lady Godiva's Operation and Heroin, but includes That's The Story Of My Life.

sorry they're so poor. "Polydor Special 1". The VU are side 1 track 3 "Run Run Run/Beginning To See The Light". Sitting right there between "Taste" and "Kool And The Gang".

The back cover reads: "Best selling artists, top listening quality, at a price everyone can afford"...you've got to give Polydor credit!
