a "repro" of this poster has been sold recently on ebay. I have never seen an "original" and I'm not convinced that it is a "real" VU BTP poster. There are other "made up" VU posters on ebay - they sell for low prices (often BUY IT NOW), and it always says somewhere (in very small print) that they are not "original".

Yes, I was the source of the "300-600 copies" info on Olivier's page - I did get the info from a dealer, but I am pretty sure it is accurate. The same 1-G, 1-R etc system is used by Beatles collectors to assess Beatles pressings.

[quote="alfredovu"]BTP Poster: At least for me this is the very fisrt time I see it. It is not at Olivier´s and I have not seen it reprinted anywhere.

UK 3rd: This is from Olivier´s "UK original pressing. Estimates of the number of copies pressed are around the 600 mark (250 to 300 with the 1-G matrix and then 250-300 with the 1-R matrix numbers)" From top of muy head was Gordon who was told of this from a record dealer. Next letter was "R". I´m pretty sure he has explained this here bofore.[/quote]

I have bought a Poster and I think the bootleg Velvet Dylan from dixigas on eBay. I think he is from Amsterdam or Germany and he has also outbid me on many items, especially Bananas. Dixigas, out yourself! :)

Welcome Martin. We need you posting more overhere 8-)

Pics: you have to have them already on the net. then copy properties of the pic, pres the "img" button and paste the properties betweeb the brakets. Disable BBCode down in Options and there you go. Easy.

Banana: Never heard of that. The most similar Is my UK Peel banana. Side 2 label has not "Heroin" as first song but "Produced by Tom Wilson".
"Heroin" appears by mistake on side 1 label where should be the "produced by Tom Wilson"...

Ara all these issues the same?

mgm 1968 UK*SAMPLER* LP

Goddamn dixigas; I have been watching that MGM UK sampler since it came up; it has never been on eBay that I have ever seen. I wanted to try to snipe it at the last minute and my isp provider was slow and cut it too close and you had already won! That is the only compilation lp with the VU missing from my collection. Oh well, you snooze you lose. My bid was about $85 USD. Wonder if your highest bid was higher? Crap; I'll probably never see that one again. Congrats dixigas; you still have never been outbid by me, but your day is coming. Oh yeah, let us not forget "rekusukun" who has almost singlehandedly raised the eBay price of mint Bananas over $3,000! He must have 100 Bananas over the years. My nemesis's.....

hey Rod, he beat me as well! I gave up at about $55.

That LP has been on ebay before, but only 1 time so far as I remember.

Do you have the 1975 UK Polydor "Not For Sale" sampler - the one with the "stand up" sleeve so that it could be displayed on record shop counters? I've only ever seen 2 copies of that one (I bought them both and traded 1 of them away). That LP has "Run Run Run" edited so that it runs straight into "Beginning To See The Light"
