Thanks for all your help. I had downloaded the torrent and had it running in my client as the instructions i found. I just realised that BitsOnWheels was doing nothing even though i had opened the file. I have switched to the less glamorous Tomato and it started uploading immediately. Sorry about that and hope it's worth the wait. I've also set it to the highest upload rate I can to get this thing started.
