Yes, that one's lovely. I really like the "toy soldiers" cover for White Light/White Heat too, almost better than the original The crash helmets cover I never could fathom, it's too far out there for me.

Let's burn all those Marilyn prints Warhol did because they totally bastardize the original photo.

That's not quite the same though, is it? The Marilyn prints have a point to them, there's a sense of aesthetics behind them. When Warhol did that it was because he wanted to say something. Whereas certain reissues of the Banana album are a simply case of indifference/incompetence/lack of taste turning a great design into a not-so-great one. It's the difference between irreverence and disinterest.

I should add that I don't feel as strongly about this as Groovy though! And I agree with this:

When the artwork for the 1st alb was being messed around, it was not in the 'all time top 10 album' lists, it was just another mid-price back catalogue item. The current reissue has a nice cover, reflecting it's current status.

The original was very beautiful; the re-issues were cheap and tasteless. When I say "cheap and tasteless" I'm referring to the texture and sheen of the paper used; the shade of yellow; the fact that you can't peel it; putting "The Velvet Underground and Nico" off to the side (how stupid).
