Velvet Underground DVDS

Post by pluto1 »

Hi all.

Why is it so hard to find the un afficial Velvet Underground dvds on torrent sites.
A Syphomy of Sound came up on Dimeadozen recently and got pulled by the moderators.
What gives.I have found a European site with Velvet Live footage at insane prices. Are they legit or mostly just bootlegs.

A better question would be: why don't people like Mark who have their own site about every known piece of video-footage available share it with the forum and why do they ignore my PMs?

I would have to along with that.
I recently found a guy out there with shit loads of the New Zealand Band,The Clean and could not get a response. It sorts of smacks of I got mine, catch ya later.
It would be great if the VU Footage appeared so we could all swap.

Just a few points -

(1) I believed you PM'd me once, over six months ago. I would have replied but I was busy at the time and never got round to it. Some of us have lives outside this forum unfortunately.

(2) The fact I set up a webpage about all that video material doesn't mean I have access to all, or even most, of it - let alone have facilities to copy/torrent it. I don't.

(3) Hopefully that page in itself has provided a useful service to other people trying to track that stuff down. Would you rather I hadn't bothered?

(4) I don't respond well to being hectored.

You're right...I shouldn't have made an example of you like that--sorry. But some people here DO deserve to made examples of (like jimjim...I bet that guy has loads of it).

Yeah, that website is really more of a wants list / shopping list for me than anything else. I do have some stuff but it's just bog-standard Ebay DVDs for the most part. It's a matter of finding the time and resources to track all that stuff down as it's just so scattered. I'll get there one day though, and then I promise the goods will be available to one and all!
