Re: John Peel playing and talking about the VU&N in 1967

Thank you very much for posting this! Just as a side note, sometimes Mediafire flags something as copyrighted, but if you close the window and reopen the same page (it might take a couple of times) it often shows the download link. In any case, this was a ridiculous flagging, but thanks for getting ...

Re: New Sterling Morrison article

I checked the main website again, and it looks like it's all available freely. I don't know if that will be forever, so best to check in soon if you want to read this. Thanks! I found the first 5 parts with your wayback link. The 6th is still unavailable, and the main site tells me to subscribe ...

You can click on each part of the article except for the last part from here:

Maybe there will be a later save on Archive with the last part too?

Re: Ride Into The Sun Instrumental with added vocal

Hang on, which acetate are we talking about? I know there was a later acetate version of Ride from an entirely separate session - same source as Countess from Hong Kong etc. But my understanding was that the What Goes On version of Ride - the one we're talking about here - was sourced from the same ...

Thank you very much for sharing that link. Sad news indeed - one of the true 'originals'.

Re: Jamie Klimek

I saw this, but could not find any confirmation of it outside of this video. If anyone can locate an obituary/notice/reference to it, I'd appreciate it.

Re: Loaded reissue on Analogue Productions

Are Rock and Roll and New Age the 1970 versions or the 1995 (or later) versions? Sorry, haven’t really listened to the 1995 versions since, well, 1995. I’ll have to re-familiarize myself with the other differences to be certain. That's OK, they're more subtle than Sweet Jane, but still quite not ...

Re: Loaded reissue on Analogue Productions

I wonder whether they are using the original Sweet Jane edit - without the ‘wine and roses’ section? I just got my copy. I'm on Side 2 (of 4). Liking it a lot so far. No "wine and roses" on Sweet Jane, which is a plus for me. Are Rock and Roll and New Age the 1970 versions or the 1995 (or later) ve ...

Re: Loaded reissue on Analogue Productions

20 minutes per side is the perfect length for great sounding records. Stretching it to a double album is a gimmick.

That said, AP usually get the sound right, so landing this great album in a bunch of audiophile households can't be a bad thing.
