What about some later bands - no one EVER talks about Magazine as a VU influenced band and DEFINITELY one of my trinity. Devoto's lyrics are as sharp and provocative as Lou's at his finest.

(from Olivier's site) documented by Live '68 bootleg LP liner notes: "Recorded Sun, Apr 30, 1968 [Ed. note: Er... sorry but April 30, 1968 wasn't Sunday but Tuesday...]. Lou is playing his hot ...

What's interesting on the WL/WH LP to me is the mono mixes are lot like what my own mono mix sounds like (I'm sure we've all played producer on this one). Much more equal balance of instruments than if you just folded the stereo into one channel - the drums on "Here She Comes Now" and the apeshit ...

So a cute ditty (with Mo, it's biggest asset) over a groundbreaking, edgy experiment that's two songs in one?
