Good grief. I can't think of many '60s bands that were so badly preserved by the people who taped them. It's surprising enough that this minor underground band would attract so many tapers. But it's quite distressing that so many of them decided to keep the tapes to themselves! I can understand Cale ...

The pieces of Sister Ray that were on Twisted Stars are definitely from this performance - from near the beginning & minute 10. So somebody's been sitting on this tape quite a while! Many thanks to whoever got it out.....and many hopes that the rest will follow soon! "Walk It and Talk It", hmmm ...

So! A new UK seller is also offering this vinyl boot...at half the price! (Maybe because it's a less-collectible "black" vinyl?) But he's using the same pathetic description copied from the first seller. And notice the picture of the tracklist: the Velvets have suddenly transformed into Joy Division ...

Bootleg Series vol 2.....the complete Gymnasium show.....now THAT is something to dream about! Who knows, that might be right? A full version of Sister Ray with Cale.....those two tantalizing snippets on Twisted Stars indicate that, even if it is the first time played, it must be pretty exciting ...
