Re: And another reboot...

The LP sounds so much better than this 16 year old YouTube! It hasn't left my turntable in days. I remember these 4 tracks on a 90s bootleg CD called Songs of Remembrance but I don't think the full set has circulated at least publicly. The same team did a Television 1975 at CBGB and Big Star 1974 ...

Re: And another reboot...

I found the description of the vu album more than a little odd. But looking harder I found the tracklisting. Poor Richards and Symphony of Sound. The Modern Lover`s in 1973 sounds promising. I wonder what the sound is like? Yes, the VU is a rehash of old stuff, got it for the packaging really - I'm ...

Re: Unseen Velvet Underground Warhol Film at MoMA

630, not exactly mid afternoon. I am headed up after work so will report back. For years the best and only film programming at MoMA was at 1pn or 3pm. The best film program in the world catering exclusively to retirees, tourists and unemployed losers. Proud to say I found myself in the latter group ...

Re: End of Cole reboot

sorry please don't get me wrong. I am very much in favour of bootleggers I just don't like the endless reissuing of the same material without any improvement in sound quality...... https://i.ibb.co/BKw8DzsC/VU-vinyl-bootlegs.jpg The Dec 68 Cleveland show is wonderful. I really hope whoever struck a ...

Re: End of Cole reboot

The Dec 68 Cleveland show is wonderful. I really hope whoever struck a deal for the Klimek tapes actually does it right and puts oit the full shows [tapes]. But I fear it could be botched.

Though I agree re bootlegging is foolish I do always commend the bootleggers who actually get things done
