The film has been preserved, but is there music on it ? Perhaps Raro video could release it.

Doubt it, if it was intended to be background footage in their EPI shows

Music or not, it has a sound track.

Although there's a gramophone along the tarotist in the pic I posted, my guessing is not actually a soundtrack at all.

. The tarot reader is continually interrupted in her readings by the chaos created by the characters around her.

The Velvet Underground Tarot Cards (1966) 16mm film, b/w, sound, 65 minutes.

Even in 1965, all Warhol's films had sound. In summer 1966 he made Chelsea Girls, and then began the film segments that would make up 24 hour move (****) which again all had sound . Like the other 1966 films, I would guess that this one has sound recorded whilst filming. After summer 1966 he seemed to be working solely in colour, so perhaps this one is pre-Chelsea girls.

Likely is pre-Chelsea girls if they made it with EPI in mind.

Yes,that's what I meant, with not a "soundtrack" itself. The idea of this movie as a pre-Chelsea Girls is a cool&brilliant.Checkin' out the length of the film, looks a bigger project than a background for the EPI show.Don't forget one of main points of Pop art is the improvisation which AW was so keen on,especially in making movies.

Edit to add this interesting site with and accurate date of each film,http://www.poorafilmy.com/people/87862-andy-warhol

When VU in Boston showed in San Francisco a few years back, there was someone from the Warhol Foundation here and he mentioned VU Tarot Card, restoration of which was still in progress at the time. I can't remember whether I asked or if he just mentioned this, but he said for sure that there's no VU music in the film.
