Surprised because UMG delayed the release date by a week to the 9th Dec. I think will have to wait as I've been promised a copy via another route.

I think they have made a more sympathetic remix of them, than the 80s versions, for this release. I guess that can count as unreleased in a sense.

There certainly is room for improvement there. If anything Moe's drums should be raised considerably in the mix. For me the live renditions of the song (yes, even the ultra extended versions - well, at least until the 11' mark) were the major highlights of the '93 tour, conveying a sense of power and adventure that is merely hinted at in the available mixes.

You can preview the Mr. Rain(s) on iTunes. Only listened on my laptop but seem to have a different feel. More urgent, more intense, perhaps? Sounded promising.

Forget about Mr. Rain....how is the "alternate take" of I Heard Her Call My Name? Is it really an alternate take or just an alternate mix?

I refuse to listen to the previews/spoilers of the most interesting tracks. I have to wait for the real thing. But you can hear it for yourself, if you want the answer.

Alternate take would be amazing but I'd also be very happy to get a good mastering/pressing of the alt. mix used on the Sundazed single.

The Gymnasium in New York, recorded on April 30, 1967.The Gymnasium performance was bootlegged in 2008,but this was transferred from John Cale?s personal copy.
