Groovy, what do you not understand here? All of the material recorded by the VU is someone's property. It is unlawful for anyone but the owner to distribute ANY of it. Dime takes that very seriously. Do you own anything left out of the PSAS set? No. That means you have no legal right to do ANYTHING with the material aside from listen to it. Even if you possessed a reel that Cale & Reed recorded in a bathroom somewhere, you do not own the right to distribute it in any way, shape, or form.

The same goes for music tablature, which is why it is getting more and more difficult to find guitar tabs online. The RIAA is really tightening their grip.

This topic has gone on WAY too long and your question has been answered nearly half a dozen times. Enough already.

The sound isn't all that bad. A semi-distant AUD recording with some tape hiss. I'd rate it a "B." The fact that it was on such a high-quality cassette certainly helped! To the best of my knowledge, this show has never circulated on CD-R! As usual, this is a direct digital transfer with no filters used. The sound of this recording is exactly what you get on the cassette.

The day before this show in Aarhus, Lou abandoned the stage after objects were thrown. Here he puts on a very good show.

The cover-art included here is a bit primitive, but I am sure Christian wouldn't mind if someone upgraded it!

This 45rpm is not pristine by any stretch, but I am guessing that this is the best quality you will ever hear it in.

Yes, there actually WAS a singing group named "Thunder Thighs" that was used for Lou Reed's Transformer LP, specifically the chorus on "Walk On the Wild Side." As far as I know, this was the only record they cut. VERY 70's. Side 1 is not quite disco, but there is definitely a bit of "pop" orchestration in there. Side 2 (in my opinion) is the better song...has more of a groove to it.

This 45 is a perfect example of how orchestrations destroyed so many great tunes in the 70's.

EDIT: By the way, for years I've been avoiding the picking up the many boots of Reunion shows not because they're bad but because outside of the official 2CD and the other ones I do own (Wembley, Edinburgh & Roskilde), I can't see much else the other shows that makes unique. Take for example, Glastonbury. I listened to half of it this morning and - yes - it's good but not radically different from the other ones I've got. Even Roskilde is a almost a xerox of the same show.

Can anyone steer me to the interesting ones that I have yet to sample? I'd love to get my hands on the last ever show, even if the quality is poor.

If by the last show, you mean the Forum Assago on July 7, PM me and I'll let you have entire set from that show.

Also have complete sets from Paradiso in Amsterdam and The Forum in Kentish Town.

To be honest, playlists are pretty much the same for all the concerts but the feel and quality do differ from one venue to another. For example, the Playhouse holds about 3000 people, about three times the capacity of the Paradiso. I like the Milan concert myself - the only one with "What Goes On" and the Forum (because I used to hang out there a long time ago). I think the quality is good for what they are.

Which Edinburgh show do you have - 1st or 2nd ? - just out of interest.

The first. I see what you mean, though. It also depends on whether or not Lou remembers/improvises the lyrics.

On the Glastonbury set 'Heroin' is fantastic as Lou doesn't miss a beat but AAAARGGH some annnoying get near the taper's mic starts blabbing away over the intro!!!

No Bono. He joined them on stage two days later in Napoli when they were supporting U2. There is a really bad tape of this floating around somewhere.

Milan was last show as headliners. Speak to you later 'cos I'm at work too

Yeah, that sounds about right to me!

Don't get me wrong...I quite like some of U2s stuff but is there anybody on the planet who has more ability than Bono to make really cool people look decidedly uncool just by singing with them?

He did it with Leonard Cohen, The Velvet Underground, Frank Sinatra, Shane MacGowan, William Burroughs, Johnny Cash...all I can say is thank f**k Joey Ramone died before Bono got his wish of a duet with him!!!
