Yeah, you can compress them to MP3 if you want, or you could modify your iPod for FLAC

I don't think it would make much sense to FLAC it though. The whole point of the iPod is tons of songs in a tiny space. FLAC files would fill that thing up in a heartbeat, no? I'd compress 'em to mp3 for the iPod and burn regular lossless CD-Rs of everything for non-iPod listening...

Anyway, here's a breakdown of what's on the discs:

VU-1
17 Demos
La Cave 1/31/69
Afterhours Tape 32
B.V. (Before Velvets)
It?s A Shame That Nobody Listens
Live 68
Searchin? For My Mainline (3 discs)
The Dolph Acetate
Ultimate Mono And Acetates (3 discs)
Up-Tight

VU-2
A Walk With The Velvet Underground (5 discs)
La Cave 1968 ? Problems In Urban Living
Praise Ye The Lord
Rarities
Sweet Sister Ray (2 discs)
Ultra Rare Trax, Vol. 1
Ultra Rare Trax, Vol. 2
Ultra Rare Trax, Vol. 3

VU-3
Caught Between The Twisted Stars (4 discs)
Flowers Of Evil (2 discs)
Live At The Second Fret (2 discs)
More Rarities
Screen Test: Falling In Love With The Falling Spikes
The Bedroom Tape
The First Night (2 discs)

VU-4
Music Hall, Cleveland 12/1/68
Boston Tea Party 12/12/68 (2 discs)
Boston Tea Party 1/10/69
Boston Tea Party 3/13/69
Boston Tea Party 7/11/69
Paramount Theater, Mass 4/17/70
If It?s Too Loud For You, Move Back! (2 discs)
If It?s Too Loud For You, Move Back! 2006 Remaster (2 discs)
Live At End Of Cole Avenue (2 discs)
Ostrich/Hilltop
The First Night (2 discs)

VU-5
Max?s Kansas City Rehearsal
The Legendary Guitar Amp Tape
Upgrades (La Cave 4/28/68, La Cave 1/31/69, BTP 3/13/69, BTP 3/15/69)
Track: Mystery version of Sister Ray (fragments)
Track: The Gift (instrumental)
FLAC Program: Trader's Little Helper
FLAC audio player: Foobar2000

CD-R
Waiting For The Man (Track 6, disc 1 of Twisted Stars, which is defective on the VU-3 disc)

Tracklists and venue info are included in the folders for each title.

Again, nice job Candy, many thanks!

Since I'm computer-retarded, can someone explain how to compress the songs to MP3? By the by, how's the vine going? I'm #3 in line for it.

You use the software I included on one of the discs - it's a simple, two-step-process that I'll PM you a pictorial for.

Can I join in on this too?
I have Ultra Rare Trax. Vol 4 on silver CD, I can add in a copy of that if anyone wants.

Candy,

When will there be a Lou Reed vine?

Any good sounding shows with material mainly from The Bells, Street Hassle or Coney Island Baby?

That torrent stuff is for the birds!

I think Lou solo is corny...Han Solo on the other hand is pretty badass:
