My guessing, that's a sorta tv.talk show with "Up Tight Show" luminaries such Warhol,Mekas,BR,plus some Velvets footage recorded from Danny Williams. The question is from where ....Filmakers or the tv prog.itself.I bet for the Cinematheque .........but are any piece of music on that reel ???

Hey gang!
May I ask a question for anyone who has seen VU In Boston: is there audio throughout the film, or does it cut in sometime after the start of the film (say, more than five minutes in)?
Many thanks

Great taxine! That's a major clue. My understanding is that it's a "documentary" (well, you know) of the VU and Andy on Susskind. I'll know more very soon, trust me

I dug around on Google for Uptight #3 and came up with this:
http://sites.google.com/site/orphans7/h ... gell-intro
It's an introduction given by Callie Angell when the film was shown in New York last year. This must have been one of her last public appearances - she died the following month.
Before we get our hopes up too high, just before the 5 minute mark, she mentions that this film is silent.
As far as VU in Boston, I don't remember silence at the beginning of the film, but I'm not completely positive.
