the CD version (at least the version in the UK) is Val Valentine's mix; the box set version is Lou's "closet mix" Some Kinda Love is a different take: both versions have appeared on vinyl at different times

I have the Val Valentin mix on vinyl. I much prefer it to the closet mix.

My vinyl is the Closet mix, it is the mix that I prefer, but maybe that's because it was the one I'm most familiar with. I bought the UK cd to get the VV mix

I have to admit that's probably why I prefer the Valentix mix - I was already familiar (and in love) with it before I ever heard the "closet mix".

Yeah same here, the Valentin mix is louder and more clearer in my own opinion.
