Yeah, I remember that! It was on TOTP2. My jaw dropped to the floor when the ladies segued from a brilliant guitary version of MM into Waiting for the Man. It was awesome (even if it was the David Bowie arrangement).

Coupla points lost blues:

1. Technically any version of 'Satellite Of Love' by Lou Reed, solo star, could only questionably be called a VU cover. The lyrics on the VU version from April 1970 are drastically different. And besides the artists at the time who covered the song probably weren't aware the VU had done it in the first place and thought they were covering Lou's glam version.
2. Henry Rollins cover of 'Move Right In'...is it with lyrics? If so, are they the original ones or made up by Henry as even I can't make out the La Cave live version?

re1: you´re right!
re2: as far as I remember it has lyrics. But the CD is in the cellar and I haven´t heard it for a long long time. Maybe you can try to D*L* it somewhere?! You know what I mean, just for scientific purposes! 8)

Wasn't that actually a whole medley of VU songs with ATM and some others in it as well? It was pretty funny actually!

Could this be them?:

Well she's straight and look like a lot of fun
The bar's open I'm gonna go have a drink with everyone
Walking downtown skies can't get any greater
Haven't got no money and I haven't got a prayer
I'm gonna move right in (x3)
After we hang a little we're gonna have a little fun
Gonna go shoot and kill and go knife everyone
The bar looks like haven gonna have myself a drink
Hey man don't you know I fell right in to the swing
I'm Gonna move right in (x3) Yeah
Gonna go uptown so I can get myself straight
Gonna go see my mama see if I got myself a date
Time is runnin' out I'm comin' right down to the wire
Gotta go do something to get myself higher
I'm gonna move right in (x3) Hey

(C) Lou Reed, 1968
