Kinda unnecessary. It doesn't come close to what I always imagined when hearing the song. Just like that Waiting For The Man comic, which is just completely off the mark in my opinion.

I shot "The Gift" movie myself except mine isn't some crappy camcorder production. I shot it on 16mm film and it is currently in the process of being edited. It's basically the song with Cale's oh so unique voice and the song playing with actors lip synching the words to match the song. I'll try to post it for you guys when I finish editing it. I personally always envisioned this story taking place in a pseudo 1950's world kinda like a Tim Burton Edward Scissor Hands feel to it. I shot it in black/ white. Anyone else get the same vibe?
