Well, i just wondered why YOU (meaning someone in your position) gave as this "gift" so openly, and why now. Since the days of Rossie Lee "track 7" has been a hot question over here and now all in a suden you offer us a link to the original recording. I have been traveling for a week. Did I miss someting?
I´m really surprised, Sal, and a-b-s-o-l-u-t-e-l-l-y delighthed

Thanks again

Sal, I know exactly what you mean. It really pisses me off sometimes, some people always complain. But bear in mind that Da Missin Track or whatever is only a Guest, and that all our registered users are overjoyed and VERY appreciative.
There was an immediate response from two different people to send an MP3, and we are all able to enjoy the track now.

Huge thanks for track 7!

So, Sal, you wouldn't be able to point us towards them thar Gymnasium or cleaned up Matrix tapes, would ya, hmm, would ya??? [nudges Sal playfully in the ribs...]

[Adopts slightly more serious tone]

By the way, do you know if there has there been any more progress with those 'Legal Issues' that have been holding up the 'Bootleg Series'?

Very sad news, Easytree has just been shut down (as reported on their yahoo group forum). It was a great place to get lossless rare music, actually the only place that I know of. I was really holding out hope of seeing the full disc on there, but it can't happen now.

PS- Speaking of the cleaned up Matrix tapes, I actually got to hear samples of quite a few of the songs and can say they are AMAZING. They aren't just cleaned up, but are stereo mixes from the original 4-track soundboard tapes and are truly top notch in sound quality. Even much better than the Live 1969 tracks as those were from 1st or 2nd gen mixdowns. Man, how I wish these would be released, but last I heard the guy sitting on the tapes was not being cooperative and the whole thing was called off. Damn shame. On the subject of the boot series and elusive tapes, what happened to that other Max's '70 show (the Freeman tape, I believe it was called)?

I just thought it would be a good thing to do for the long-suffering fans.
I used EZtree for selfish reasons - to boost my share rating.
As for my position, I am a fan like most of us here and have been as frustrated and sometimes discouraged by how long it takes for things to be released. As you can imagine it's even more difficult when you know and have heard some of the unreleased/unheard VU stuff.
Believe me, I would love to be able to freely share this stuff but...
