So far feelingfresh is the only one here to express interest in having me post the Bernd Baierschmidt CD. If no one else cares to have that at this time, I ask feelingfresh to PM me to give his or her land mail address, and I will ship a copy out ASAP.

If others are interested, however, someone besides feelingfresh will have to give me an idea for how to get the files hosted, as his or her notes on that are way too complicated for me to follow, and leave me with a throbbing headache. My preference would be to use the same site and process as I did for the Professor Tapes sample files, but I don't recall what that was, nor who helped me through it. Whoever it was made it very easy for me and the process seemed to suit everyone concerned, so I'd be happy to repeat that same site and process.

So, where do we stand with this?

I helped out with the distribution of both the Professor samples and full shares.

Most important: you shouldn't need to split the file.

Visit http://www.mediafire.com/

Click on the large green button: upload to mediafire.
Click where it says 'Click here to upload'.
Click on the 'Choose file' button and browse for the zip file.
Click on 'Begin uploading files' -this will take a while for a 600Mb Zip file...

Once uploaded you'll be given the option to share the file. Click on 'Share', then the 'Embed' tab.

Copy the link in 'Forum Embed code' by clicking on the 'Copy Link' button.

Add a post to this thread, pasting in the link using CTRL+V or right clicking and selecting 'Paste'.

That's it! Hopefully easy to follow?

The 3CD 'If It's Too Loud For You Move Back!' 2006 Remastered set? Is that the one being discussed? It also has the LP rip on CD3.

No. We're talking about Velvet Underground 1966.



The Nothing Songs version of Move Back has the same edit that's on the Symphony of Sound Move Back. And on the LP version of Velvet Underground 1966 Melody Laughter is cut and faded out by two whole minutes.

Very good -- thanks to upsetter for the remedial hosting guidance. Due to filesize limitations there I've had to break up the group into 4 ZIP files. They'll be titled 1a, 1b, 2a and 2b, with the numeral designating the respective disc from the original set.
